Adventure Playground

To celebrate its 50th anniversary the Rotary Club of Alliston chose to replace the  playground equipment at the town's Riverdale Park. The goal wasn't to just to replace the old equipment in the park, but to make the new equipment more  accessible to everyone.
Paved trails wind throughout the park while wood chips provide the base under the equipment making it possible for wheelchairs to move throughout the play area. Swings, slides and the usual monkey bars are still a big factor in the park but one of the most interesting new pieces of equipment is called the Berliner; a geometric climbing apparatus made with rope. A net near the bottom prevents children from falling to the ground.
