made a donation to My Sister's Place, a shelter for abused women and their
children. Established in 1987, this Alliston-based charity operates a
safe and secure 12-bed residence for women and their children who are
experiencing, or have experienced, domestic violence and abuse.
Officially named People in Transition (Alliston) Inc., but commonly known
as My Sister's Place, this important service provides short-term crisis
intervention, accommodation, second and third stage housing solutions,
counselling and legal support. Rotary is pleased to help My Sister's
Place make a difference in our community.
